The Arab Woman Awards mission is to provide a culturally accepted platform to raise public awareness of the significant achievements of Arab women across the GCC & provide positive role models for young women. Launched in 2009 the Arab Woman Awards were created by ITP Media Group Managing Director, Sue Holt, who kept coming across reports of talented, hardworking & inspiring Arab women. As one of the regions largest media company she wanted to provide a platform to promote these women in a way that befitted their culture. The first awards were held in Dubai & now run in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait & the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia at private, by invitation only ceremonies.

The ten-year vision is to have awarded over 350 inspirational, talented and deserving Arab women.

The first awards were held in Dubai and winners included leading businesswoman Ingie Chalhoub, DAS Collection designers Hind and Reem Beljafla and the Inspirational Arab Woman of the Year 2009 Award was bestowed to HH Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women Establishment, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. The Arab Woman Awards have to date awarded over 300 Arab females from countries across United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
